I have been an athlete my whole life and used to go by the mentality, 'Oh, I can eat whatever I want. I'll just burn it off the next day'. Well, this attitude finally caught up with me a few years ago. My body was totally stressed out, I had no energy, I relied on coffee, diet soda and way too many processed foods to get through my afternoon 'crashes' and my body was screaming at me to figure out what the heck was going on.
